Alice Isenberg Award Winners
This award is given by the Club president in memory of a very valuable and community-supporting member of Sunrise Rotary.
Who was Alice? Alice Isenberg served as treasurer, president 93-94, and for many years secretary of our club before her passing in 2003. Alice was a wonderful community volunteer serving on the Boulder City Hospital Board and Foundation, a committee member of Art in the Park, Spring Jamboree and Damboree. She was Past President and board member of the Chamber of Commerce, and chairman of the Arts Council as well as being active in many other civic events.
The first ‘Service Above Self’ award was given in 2004-2005 as a memorial to Alice.”
There are two Alice Isenberg awards: one from Sunrise Rotary, for a member that epitomizes ‘Service above Self’ within the community, and one from the Chamber of Commerce in recognition of outstanding community service.
